The restaurant’s interior setup is lavish and guests can easily succumb to the warmth and coziness created by the restaurant’s creative decor and soft music which plays in the background. The seating arrangement is also very spacious and the restaurant can easily accommodate up to 120 people at one time.

The delightful staff at EAST greeted us with a Mojito – a punchy Cuban mocktail featuring mint, lime juice and sparkling water – as a welcoming drink to refresh our palettes before we dug into a series of scrumptious dishes picked for us by Sous Chef Vikas.

We started off lunch with a heart warming traditional hot & sour chicken soup with deliciously crunchy bamboo shoots and bean sprouts – a perfect cure for the Mumbai winter! For starters we ate the mind blowing crispy chicken with coriander, pepper and onion and also mouth-melting mushrooms in black pepper sauce.

Moving onto the (wickedly amazing) main course, we enjoyed the heavenly fresh salmon cooked in black bean sauce and decadent lobster in XO sauce accompanied with burnt garlic fried rice and vegetable hakka noodles.

Last but not least, the dark chocolate cremeaux with sweet tamarind almond biscuit and the Thai custard tart with marinated fruits brought the perfect sweet end to our scrumptious lunch.

Not only was the food at EAST magnificent, the service is equally fantastic; the staff is affable and always have a smile on their lips and are ready to do whatever is required to make the dining experience majestic. We were lucky enough to receive a farewell gift hamper from the team!

EAST is one of the newest premium fine dining options in Mumbai. The food designed to appease those yearning for authentic Pan-Asian cuisine.

Travel Coffee Vogue gives a full thumbs up to EAST, Bon Appétit!
